Ripple Prime Adds Coinbase Derivatives Access
Ripple says clients of Ripple Prime can now access the full suite of Coinbase Derivatives contracts cleared by Nodal Clear, expanding institutional access to regulated U.S. crypto futures through Ripple’s prime brokerage platform.
The companies frame the move as a market-access upgrade for institutions seeking regulated futures exposure with integrated clearing.
Ripple Prime expands exchange coverage via cleared futures
According to the announcement, Ripple Prime clients can now trade Coinbase Derivatives contracts with clearing handled by Nodal Clear. Ripple says this is part of a broader effort to expand exchange coverage and add more futures trading opportunities for institutional clients.
Ripple Prime is the rebranded platform built around Hidden Road Partners CIV US LLC, the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Ripple acquired last year.
What’s under the hood: prime brokerage, clearing, and scale
Ripple says Ripple Prime provides multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services, and it reported clearing over $3 trillion in 2025. The firm positions the Coinbase Derivatives expansion as another layer of market access delivered inside its clearing framework.
Coinbase’s U.S. futures exchange leadership said demand for CFTC-regulated crypto futures continues to grow and emphasized contract design, liquidity, and 24/7 trading in the company’s statement.
Nodal Clear adds Ripple as a clearing member
Nodal Clear said it is welcoming Ripple as a new clearing member, and that Ripple’s clients can now access the full suite of Coinbase Derivatives contracts cleared through Nodal Clear.
Nodal Clear also reiterates its role as a CFTC-regulated derivatives clearing organization and says it provides central counterparty clearing services to both Nodal Exchange and Coinbase Derivatives Exchange.

- Prime brokerage packaging (execution + clearing + financing) is becoming a bigger distribution layer in crypto derivatives.
- Coinbase Derivatives’ 24/7 positioning reinforces the “always-on” expectation for crypto-linked markets.
