Prevalon and Anchorage Add Strategy’s STRC

Prevalon and Anchorage Add Strategy’s STRC

Prevalon Energy and Anchorage Digital have each added Strategy’s STRC preferred stock to their corporate treasuries, according to an announcement made during Strategy World 2026 in Las Vegas. Strategy said both disclosures were made in the “Bitcoin for Corporations” track and framed the moves as early institutional adoption of its “digital credit” instrument.

The announcement is notable because it extends the Bitcoin treasury trend beyond direct BTC holdings into a yield-bearing Strategy security designed for corporate balance sheets.

Two companies disclosed STRC treasury allocations

Strategy said Prevalon Energy CFO Benjamin Hunnewell disclosed that Prevalon added STRC to its treasury as part of capital management, while Anchorage Digital’s Head of Prime Sales Manuel Andreani said Anchorage holds STRC on its balance sheet. The disclosures were made publicly at Strategy World 2026.

Strategy also noted that both firms independently evaluated STRC through their own management teams and boards as part of their treasury strategies.

Strategy is positioning STRC as a corporate treasury instrument

In the release, Strategy CEO Phong Le described STRC as the company’s “flagship digital credit instrument,” designed for stable price dynamics with an 11.25% annual dividend paid monthly. Strategy said it expects more corporates and institutions to adopt digital credit as they modernize treasury allocation frameworks.

That matters because Strategy is now explicitly marketing more than just Bitcoin exposure. It is building a broader treasury product stack around income and capital structure, with STRC positioned as a bridge between traditional treasury needs and Strategy’s Bitcoin-centric model. This is an inference based on Strategy’s product framing in the announcement.

Anchorage and Prevalon framed the move around treasury discipline

Prevalon said STRC fit its goals around capital preservation, liquidity, and disciplined long-term financial management. Anchorage Digital’s CEO Nathan McCauley separately framed the position as aligning capital with an institutional Bitcoin treasury framework and stressed the role of regulated infrastructure as adoption expands.

In practical terms, both messages focus less on speculation and more on treasury construction — how institutions hold exposure, manage liquidity, and fit crypto-linked instruments into corporate finance processes.

Strategy World remains the launchpad for treasury messaging

The disclosures were made at Strategy World 2026, which Strategy is using as a platform for both enterprise AI and its Bitcoin-for-corporations agenda. The company’s event materials highlight “Bitcoin for Corporations” as a dedicated track focused on treasury strategy.

That context matters because it shows Strategy is trying to turn treasury adoption into a repeatable institutional playbook — not just a single-company story tied to its own balance sheet. This is an inference from the event positioning and the conference track focus.

Why it matters for crypto

  • This expands the corporate treasury trend beyond direct BTC buys into crypto-linked yield instruments.
  • STRC gives institutions a way to express the Strategy/BTC thesis through a balance-sheet security rather than spot Bitcoin.
  • Anchorage’s participation is a strong institutional signal because it operates regulated crypto infrastructure.
  • Strategy is clearly building a broader treasury product ecosystem, not just promoting MSTR or BTC holdings.
  • If more companies adopt STRC, crypto-related treasury allocation could diversify into multiple instrument types.

What to watch next

  • Whether Strategy discloses additional corporates adding STRC after Strategy World 2026.
  • How large Prevalon’s and Anchorage’s allocations are (not disclosed in the announcement).
  • Whether Strategy launches more “digital credit” instruments alongside STRC.
  • Market uptake of STRC among treasury teams seeking yield and liquidity over direct BTC exposure.
  • Any follow-up filings or treasury disclosures from Anchorage or Prevalon with position sizing details.
